When hunger strikes

Kiwi's approach is different when he is hungry. He has a certain charm, a way of "buttering me up," that's hard to ignore. But when he lures me away from my office, it's a whole different story. As I obediently follow him, I find myself surrounded by my family, with Kiwi contentedly engaged in activities like playing with a simple paper bag or comfortably sitting amidst all of us.

Reflecting on this, I can't help but think about how my perspective on pets has evolved. Growing up, both my husband and I never had a pet – we were simply not prepared for the responsibilities. Our small living space, always bustling with extended family members, didn't leave much room for a furry companion.

As the years went by, our children consistently exhibited a genuine fascination with the idea of welcoming pets into our household. While we did venture into this territory with a fish tank, the vibrant charm of a lively kitten was an entirely different proposition. As our kids matured and their desire for a furry companion grew stronger, it marked a distinct change in the rhythm of our family life.
